
Unemployment Decline in Spain
In a positive turn for Spain's economy, the number of unemployed individuals decreased by 2.61% in April, equating to 67,420 fewer people without jobs compared to the previous month. This marks the most significant decline since May 2022, with the total number of unemployed now at 2,512,718.
Sector-Wise Analysis
The reduction in unemployment was observed across all major economic sectors. The agriculture sector led with a 3.92% decrease, followed by services at 2.66%. Construction and industry also saw declines, with 2.01% and 1.48% reductions, respectively.
