French Trade Deficit Shows Improvement in March

In a positive turn of events, France's trade deficit decreased to €6.25 billion in March from a revised €7.7 billion in February, as reported by the DSECE on Wednesday.

Export and Import Dynamics

Exports saw a significant monthly increase of 5.6%, totaling €52.5 billion, whereas imports grew at a slower pace of 2.3%, reaching €58.8 billion.

Sectoral Performance

The energy balance witnessed a decline to negative €4.9 billion, a reduction of €0.8 billion. Meanwhile, the manufactured goods balance improved markedly by €2.2 billion, standing at negative €3.1 billion for the month.
