Rolls-Royce Lands Key Defense Contract
Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC has been awarded a significant five-year contract by the British Defense Ministry for the maintenance and servicing of the EJ200 engine, which powers the Royal Air Force's Typhoon aircraft.

Boosting UK Jobs and Skills
The Typhoon Engine Support Solution (TESS) initiative is set to maintain 130 EJ200 engines and create 200 direct jobs. "This contract not only ensures our jets remain at the forefront of combat air technology but also reinforces the UK's defense industry by supporting up to 2,400 jobs across the country," stated the company.
Government Backing for Defense Industry
Defense Secretary John Healey highlighted the contract's role in securing employment and enhancing the skill set vital for the UK's leading defense sector. "This agreement is a testament to our commitment to maintaining a world-class air force and fostering a skilled workforce for the future," Healey remarked.
