On Wednesday, the Asia-Pacific stock markets presented a mixed picture as trade discussions between the United States, Japan, and South Korea continued under the Trump administration. Japan's latest economic data showed a slower annual increase in producer prices for August 2024 compared to July.

Key Index Performances
The Nikkei 225 experienced a decline, dropping by 0.62% or 238 points by 4:23 am CET, alongside a slight decrease in the US dollar's value against the yen. Conversely, South Korea's Kospi saw an uptick of 0.86%, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 slightly fell by 0.17%.
China and Hong Kong Markets
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite and Shenzhen Composite both recorded losses. However, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index bucked the trend with a significant rise of 1.30% or 300 points by 4:25 am CET.
