Swiss Industrial Production Sees Significant Growth

In a remarkable display of economic resilience, Switzerland's industrial production soared by 8.5% in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the previous year, according to the Federal Statistical Office's latest report.

Secondary Sector Highlights

The secondary sector, encompassing both industry and construction, experienced a 7.1% increase year on year. However, the construction output faced a downturn, decreasing by 3.7%. Notably, building construction saw a 3.8% rise, while civil engineering projects leaped by 6.7%.

Turnover Trends

Industrial turnover witnessed a 2.4% growth, with the secondary sector's turnover also marking a 2.5% increase during the same period.
