Similarly, the European Union witnessed a trade surplus of €35.3 billion, marking an improvement from €22.3 billion the previous year. This growth reflects the EU's resilient trade dynamics in the face of challenging international trade conditions.

Exports and Imports Show Robust Growth

Exports from the euro area climbed by 13.6% year-on-year to €279.8 billion, while imports saw an 8.8% increase, totaling €243.0 billion. The EU's exports and imports also experienced significant growth, with exports rising by 15.2% to €254.8 billion and imports by 10.4% to €219.5 billion compared to 2024.
