According to Rosstat, Russia's statistical office, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a modest decrease to 10.2% year-over-year in April, down from 10.3% in March. This slight decline marks a continued effort to stabilize the economy amidst global uncertainties.

Breaking Down the Costs

Food prices saw a significant increase of 12.7% compared to last year, while non-food products and services experienced rises of 5.4% and 12.8%, respectively. On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged up by 0.4%, with the Core CPI also showing a slight increase of 0.32% month-over-month and a 9.2% rise year-over-year.
