Singapore Boosts Household Support: Over 950,000 Homes to Get Up to $150 Utility Rebates

Utility and S&CC Rebates for Eligible Singaporean Households

In a significant move to ease the cost-of-living pressures, over 950,000 Singaporean households are set to receive utility bill rebates of up to $150 next month. This initiative, as reported by The Straits Times, includes additional support through Service and Conservancy Charges (S&CC) rebates, tailored according to HDB flat types.

Rebate Details by Flat Type

One- or two-room flats will benefit from S$190 in utility rebates and a full month of S&CC rebates. Meanwhile, executive or multi-generation units are eligible for S$110 and half a month of rebates, respectively. These measures aim to support the majority of Singapore's resident population residing in HDB flats.

Eligibility and Distribution

The rebates are automatically credited to eligible households through their accounts with SP Services and town councils. However, households owning more than one property or without a Singaporean owner or occupier are excluded from this scheme.

Government's Ongoing Support

Part of the government's quarterly support measures, these rebates are distributed in April, July, October, and January. For the 2025 financial year, eligible households could receive up to S$760 in utility rebates and as much as three-and-a-half months of S&CC rebates, highlighting the administration's commitment to alleviating financial burdens.
