450,000 children aged 12 and under will receive the Child LifeSG credit, while 300,000 students aged 13 to 20 will get a one-time SGD500 top-up to their Edusave or Post-Secondary Education accounts.

Implementation Details

These initiatives, part of the Budget 2025 household support measures, aim to assist families with child-raising expenses. The credits are scheduled for distribution starting the week of July 7, with 2025 born children receiving theirs in April 2026.

The credits, usable for groceries, pharmacy purchases, utilities, or transportation, will be deposited into the Child Development Account trustee’s digital wallet via the LifeSG app. Notifications will be sent via SMS to recipients and parents of eligible students.

Supporting Education

These top-ups supplement the government’s annual Edusave contribution, targeting education-related costs for families with older children, showcasing Singapore's commitment to supporting its young population's education and well-being.
