Aviation Safety Under Review Following Air India Crash

Following the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad that claimed around 270 lives on June 12, India’s aviation safety measures are under intense scrutiny. Parliamentary committees are urgently reviewing the incident to address lapses and ensure accountability.

The PAC has raised concerns about delays in the black box analysis from the crash. Additionally, the recent surge in airfares to Srinagar following the Pahalgam terror attack in April was discussed, highlighting the need for regulatory oversight.
