Bringing Technology and Education Together
According to Brad Smith, Microsoft's President, Microsoft Elevate consolidates the company's technology support, donations, and sales efforts for schools, community colleges, and nonprofit organizations. "It builds upon the legacy of Microsoft Philanthropies and the Tech for Social Impact team, extending our commitment to empowering nonprofits and educational institutions," Smith elaborated in a recent blog post.
A Focus on Broadening Access to AI Learning
The investment, which includes cash, AI, and cloud technology resources, is specifically targeted at K-12 schools, community and technical colleges, and nonprofits. This strategic move underscores Microsoft's dedication to fostering an inclusive AI economy and equipping the next generation with essential digital skills.
