New Tariffs on the Horizon
US President Donald Trump has announced his intention to introduce new tariffs, with a formal unveiling scheduled for Wednesday. These measures are aimed at countries perceived to have treated the United States unfairly in trade dealings.

Targeting Unfair Trade Partners
During a press conference at the White House, Trump singled out Brazil as an example of a nation that has not been favorable to the US. He promised "very substantial" tariff policies to address these issues, citing past trade imbalances. Trump also boasted about the economic benefits of his tariff policies during his first term, claiming they brought "hundreds of billions" into the US economy.
Condemnation of the Ukraine War
Trump also took the opportunity to criticize the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, describing it as a war "that should have never happened." He lamented the high casualty rates, stating that 7,000 people are dying each week on both sides. Trump attributed the conflict to weak leadership and called for an immediate cessation of hostilities, labeling the situation as "very sad."
