Opening New Horizons for Indian Farmers
Commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal announced that free trade agreements (FTAs) are set to revolutionize market access for Indian farmers in key global markets including Australia, the UAE, the UK, and EFTA countries. "We have significantly reduced non-trade barriers, paving the way for our agricultural sector to thrive in these developed markets," Goyal stated.

Strengthening Supply Chain Resilience
Amid global supply disruptions, particularly in fertilizers due to China's export restrictions, Goyal emphasized the importance of building a resilient supply chain. "India must ensure that our agricultural ecosystem, from seeds to pesticides, is robust enough to withstand global shocks," he added.
Empowering the Agricultural Sector
The minister's remarks highlight a strategic push to enhance India's agricultural exports and reduce dependency on imports, ensuring food security and farmer prosperity in the face of international trade challenges.
