TCS Salary Increments: Awaited Decision
Employees of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) are still waiting for clarity on salary hikes. During the June quarter financial results announcement, India’s largest IT services firm indicated that decisions regarding salary increases are pending. Milind Lakkad, the chief human resources officer, mentioned, "We have not made a decision on that front yet and we will decide during the year and as soon as we know we'll let you know."

Attrition Rates and Hiring Plans
The attrition rate at TCS increased to 13.8% in the quarter ending June 30, up from 13.3% in the previous quarter. Despite this, the company's workforce grew to 613,069 employees. TCS plans to recruit 40,000 new graduates this fiscal year, maintaining its commitment to fresh talent.
Q1 Financial Performance
TCS reported a modest June quarter with a 6% year-over-year growth in consolidated net profit to Rs 12,760 crore. However, sales declined by 3% in constant currency terms, affected by business uncertainties from US tariffs.
