India Expands Air Travel Agreement with Kuwait, Boosting Weekly Seats by 50%

India and Kuwait Strengthen Air Travel Ties

In a significant move to enhance bilateral air travel, India has increased the weekly seat capacity between India and Kuwait from 12,000 to 18,000, marking a 50% hike. This decision comes after 18 years since the last adjustment, reflecting the growing demand for travel between the two nations.

India hikes flying rights for Kuwait

New Agreement Signed: The aviation secretary of India, Samir Kumar Sinha, and Kuwait's DGCA president, Sheikh Hamoud Al-Mubarak, formalized the agreement. This development is part of India's recent efforts to expand its air service agreements, including with Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Uzbekistan.

Meeting the Rising Demand

With the surge in travel demand, Kuwait, along with other regions in West Asia such as Dubai, has been advocating for an increase in bilateral flight capacities. This adjustment is a response to those calls, aiming to facilitate more seamless travel and strengthen economic ties.
