US Natural Gas Storage Sees Significant Weekly Increase
In a recent update from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), the United States has reported a notable increase in natural gas inventories. For the week ending July 11, working gas in storage reached 3,052 billion cubic feet, marking a net increase of 46 billion cubic feet compared to the previous week.
Annual and Five-Year Comparisons
When viewed on an annual basis, the figures show a decrease of 156 billion cubic feet. Despite this yearly decline, the current storage levels remain 178 billion cubic feet above the five-year average of 2,874 billion cubic feet. This places the total working gas comfortably within the five-year historical range, indicating a stable yet dynamic natural gas market.
