Hanwha Aerospace Appoints Ben Hudson as CEO for European and UK Defense Operations
In a strategic move to bolster its defense operations in Europe and the UK, Hanwha Aerospace has announced the appointment of Ben Hudson as the new Chief Executive Officer. Hudson, who currently leads Hanwha Defense Australia, will now also oversee the company's growth and existing operations across Europe and the UK.

Hudson's Distinguished Career
Before joining Hanwha, Hudson held significant roles at BAE Systems, Rheinmetall, and General Dynamics, with 15 years of experience in Switzerland, Germany, and the UK. A mechanical engineer and MBA graduate from London Business School, Hudson also served as an officer in the Australian Army, including operational service in East Timor.
Strategic Expansion in Europe
This appointment aligns with Hanwha's accelerated expansion in Europe, aiming to strengthen its role as a trusted defense partner. The company is focused on delivering localized, interoperable solutions to NATO members and European allies, with ongoing programs in Poland, Romania, Norway, Finland, and Estonia.

Michael Coulter, President and CEO of Hanwha Global Defense, highlighted Europe's importance in Hanwha's strategy. "We seek to invest in sovereign capacity and industrial resilience, working closely with European partners for shared security goals," Coulter stated.
