LG AI Research's Exaone 4.0 Achieves Global Recognition

In a remarkable achievement, LG AI Research's artificial intelligence model, "Exaone 4.0", has secured the 11th position globally and the top spot in Korea, showcasing its prowess alongside other leading large-scale AI models.

Performance Evaluation Highlights

According to LG Corp., Exaone 4.0 excelled in the Intelligence Index evaluation by Artificial Analysis, ranking 11th worldwide and 1st among Korean models. It also stood out as the 4th among open-weight models and 8th among AI development companies.

The evaluation covered seven challenging performance indicators, including inference, knowledge capabilities, expert-level scientific problem-solving, coding, and mathematical problem-solving. Exaone 4.0 scored impressively, ranking 7th in coding and 10th in mathematics, with a total score of 64 points, comparable to Anthropic's "Claude 4 Opus".

Growing Popularity and Recognition

Since its release on Hugging Face on July 15, Exaone 4.0 32B has seen over 550,000 downloads in just two weeks, marking the fastest growth among domestic AI models. Additionally, both Exaone Deep and Exaone 4.0 have been featured on Epoch AI's "Notable AI Models" list.
