Germany's Inflation Rate Remains Stable

According to the preliminary report released by Destatis, Germany's statistical office, the annual inflation rate in Germany is projected to remain at 2% in July, mirroring the rate observed in June. This stability in the inflation rate highlights the current economic conditions within the country.

Monthly and Core Inflation Insights

On a monthly basis, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) is expected to experience a modest increase of 0.3%. Meanwhile, the core inflation rate, which excludes the volatile sectors of food and energy, is anticipated to stay constant at 2.7%, the same figure recorded in June.

Services Sector and HICP Projections

The services sector is forecasted to slightly decrease to 3.1% from the previous month's 3.3%. Additionally, the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) is projected to grow by 1.8% year-on-year and 0.4% month-on-month, indicating a gradual upward trend in consumer prices.
