Trump's Reaction to Fed Board Vacancy
United States President Donald Trump expressed his satisfaction to reporters on Friday regarding the open position on the Federal Reserve board. This comes in the wake of Federal Reserve Governor Adriana Kugler's resignation, effective August 8.

Behind Kugler's Departure
Trump suggested that Kugler's decision to step down was due to her disagreements with Fed Chair Jerome Powell. Notably, Kugler was absent during the critical Wednesday meeting where the Fed decided to keep rates unchanged at 4.25-4.5%.
Criticism Towards BLS Commissioner
Further, the President did not hold back his criticism towards Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Commissioner Erika McEntarfer, whom he recently fired. Trump accused McEntarfer of manipulating numbers before the elections to favor Democrats.
