New Leadership at Airbus India & South Asia

NEW DELHI: In a significant leadership update, Airbus has named Jurgen Westermeier (53) as the new Managing Director and President for India and South Asia, starting September 1, 2025. Currently serving as the Executive Vice President & Chief Procurement Officer at Airbus, Westermeier is set to take over from Remi Maillard, who will transition to the role of Executive Vice President of Engineering for Commercial Aircraft and Head of Technology.

Expanding Airbus' Footprint

In his new capacity, Jurgen Westermeier will oversee Airbus' operations across commercial aircraft, defence, space, and helicopters in India and South Asia. His responsibilities will include driving commercial sales and enhancing the company's presence in the region.
