EID Parry Narrows Losses in Q1
CHENNAI: In a notable financial turnaround, sugar manufacturer EID Parry, part of the Murugappa group, reported a standalone loss of Rs 28 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. This marks a significant improvement from the Rs 79 crore loss recorded in the same quarter the previous year.

Revenue Decline in Sugar Segment
Muthiah Murugappan, CEO of EID Parry, highlighted that the revenue from the sugar segment stood at Rs 347 crore, down from Rs 404 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, a 14% decline attributed to lower release quotas.
