Trump Reveals Shortlist for Federal Reserve Governor Position

In a recent press briefing, United States President Donald Trump announced that the White House has significantly progressed in selecting the next Federal Reserve governor, with the list now narrowed down to three potential candidates.

Trump, alongside Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and Vice President JD Vance, has been actively involved in the interview process. "We have some great candidates. It's probably down to three," Trump stated, hinting at the imminent decision. He further elaborated, "We're probably gonna go with a temp and permanent. The temp is going to be named, I'd say over the next two or three days and then we’re gonna go permanent."

This development comes in the wake of Fed Governor Adriana Kugler's resignation, presenting President Trump with the opportunity to appoint a new member to the Federal Reserve. The administration is keen on filling the vacancy promptly to ensure the continuity of the Federal Reserve's operations.
