CEO Yi Chung voiced concerns during a press conference in Seoul this Thursday, highlighting how these tariffs could squeeze parts manufacturers and reduce demand for their products.

Trump's Bold Move: A 100% Tariff on Semiconductors

The Ripple Effect on Display Prices and Market Dynamics

"An increase in the price of finished goods could force display companies to slash their prices," Yi Chung explained. He also disclosed that Samsung Display has no immediate plans for direct investment in the US market. With the display sector traditionally seeing a boost in the latter half of the year thanks to new product releases, Yi expressed worries about the industry's performance for the remainder of 2025.
