France's Trade Deficit in June

In June, France's trade deficit experienced a slight decrease, settling at €7.7 billion, down by €0.1 billion from the previous month. This data was released by the country's External Trade Ministerial Statistical Office (DSECE) on Thursday.

Exports and Imports Trends

Exports saw a modest increase of €0.3 billion month-over-month, reaching €49.9 billion. On the other hand, imports rose by €0.4 billion to €57.6 billion, contributing to the overall trade deficit.

Energy and Non-Energy Balances

The energy balance declined by €0.1 billion, attributed to a slight increase in imports. Meanwhile, the non-energy balance remained stable, with various components showing mixed performances.

Manufactured Goods Sector

The balance of manufactured goods deteriorated by €0.3 billion. This was primarily due to declines in consumer goods and intermediate goods, which fell by €0.3 billion and €0.1 billion, respectively. However, there was a slight improvement in the capital goods balance, which increased by €0.1 billion.
