US Natural Gas Inventories Experience Modest Growth
According to the latest report from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), the United States has witnessed a slight increase in its natural gas inventories. The week ending August 1 saw working gas in storage reach 3,139 billion cubic feet, marking a net increase of 7 billion cubic feet from the previous week.
Annual Comparison Shows a Decline
On an annual basis, the figures reveal a decrease of 137 billion cubic feet in natural gas stockpiles. Despite this, the current levels remain 173 billion cubic feet above the five-year average of 2,957 billion cubic feet, indicating that the total working gas is comfortably within the five-year historical range.
