Adani Group Expands into Aircraft MRO Sector with Indamer Technics Acquisition
In a significant move to bolster its presence in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) sector, the Adani Group has acquired Indamer Technics (ITPL), a leading private-sector MRO provider based in Nagpur. This acquisition marks Adani's second major foray into the MRO space, following its purchase of Air Works.

Strategic Expansion: Through its joint venture Horizon Aero Solutions, Adani Defence Systems and Technologies (ADSTL) has secured a 100% stake in ITPL. Horizon Aero Solutions is a 50-50 partnership between ADSTL and Prime Aero Services LLP, owned by Prajay Patel, director of Indamer Technics.
Facility Highlights: ITPL's facility, located in the MIHAN special economic zone (SEZ) in Nagpur, spans 30 acres and features 10 hangars capable of accommodating 15 aircraft bays. The facility is approved by DGCA, FAA (USA), and other global civil aviation regulators, offering services like lease return checks, heavy c-checks, structural repairs, and aircraft painting.
Adani's Vision for India's Aviation Future
Jeet Adani, director of Adani Airports, emphasized the acquisition as a step towards establishing India as a premier global MRO destination. "Our goal is to create a single-point aviation services platform that adheres to world-class quality standards and ensures customer satisfaction," Adani stated. He also highlighted the anticipated induction of over 1,500 aircraft by Indian carriers in the coming years as a catalyst for a new era in India's aviation sector.
