Eurozone Unemployment Rate Remains Unchanged

The eurozone's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained steady at 6.2% in March 2025, mirroring February's figures and showing a slight improvement from 6.5% the previous year, as reported by Eurostat.

EU-Wide Unemployment Statistics

Across the European Union, the unemployment rate also stayed constant at 5.8%. The total number of unemployed individuals was recorded at 10.8 million within the euro area and 12.9 million across the entire EU.

Country-Specific Unemployment Rates

Germany continued to boast one of the lowest unemployment rates at 3.5%, while Spain and Greece reported higher figures, around 10.9% and 9.0% respectively. Additionally, youth unemployment in the eurozone saw a marginal decrease to 14.2% from 14.3% in February.
