Eurozone Unemployment Rate Remains Unchanged

According to the latest Eurostat data released on Friday, the eurozone's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained steady at 6.2% in March 2025, unchanged from February and showing a slight improvement from 6.5% a year earlier.

EU-Wide Unemployment Trends

Across the European Union, the unemployment rate also held firm at 5.8%. The statistics reveal that 10.8 million individuals were unemployed in the euro area, with the figure rising to 12.9 million when considering the entire EU.

Country-Specific Highlights

Germany continues to lead with one of the lowest unemployment rates at 3.5%, while Spain and Greece face higher challenges, with rates around 10.9% and 9.0%, respectively. Additionally, youth unemployment in the eurozone saw a marginal decrease to 14.2% in February from 14.3%.
