Eurozone Inflation Remains Unchanged
According to a preliminary report by Eurostat, the annual inflation rate in the euro area stayed at 2.2% in April, mirroring March's figures. This consistency comes alongside a monthly inflation measurement of 0.6% for April.

Key Contributors to the CPI Increase
The services sector led the charge in the consumer price index (CPI) rise with a significant 3.9%, followed closely by food, alcohol, and tobacco at 3%, and non-energy industrial goods at 0.6%.
Core CPI Insights
The core CPI, which excludes volatile items like energy, food, alcohol, and tobacco, saw a year-on-year increase of 2.7% and a monthly rise of 1%. Estonia recorded the highest inflation rate at 4.4%, while France experienced the lowest at 0.8%.
