Eurozone's Unemployment Rate Holds Steady at 6.2% in March 2025, Youth Unemployment Shows Slight Improvement

Eurozone Unemployment Rate Remains Unchanged

The eurozone's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained steady at 6.2% in March 2025, unchanged from February and showing a slight decrease from 6.5% a year earlier, as reported by Eurostat on Friday.

EU-Wide Unemployment Rate Stable

Across the European Union, the unemployment rate was stable at 5.8%. The total number of unemployed individuals reached 10.8 million in the euro area and 12.9 million across the EU.

Country-Specific Unemployment Rates

Germany recorded one of the lowest unemployment rates at 3.5%, while Spain and Greece remained among the highest, with rates around 10.9% and 9.0%, respectively. Additionally, youth unemployment in the eurozone saw a minor improvement, dropping to 14.2% from 14.3% in February.
