Eurozone's Unemployment Rate Holds Steady at 6.2% in March 2025, Youth Unemployment Sees Slight Dip

Eurozone Unemployment Rate Unchanged

The eurozone's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained stable at 6.2% in March 2025, mirroring February's figures and showing a slight improvement from 6.5% recorded a year earlier, as per the latest Eurostat data released on Friday.

EU-Wide Unemployment Trends

Across the European Union, the unemployment rate also stayed constant at 5.8%. The total number of unemployed individuals was reported at 10.8 million in the euro area and 12.9 million throughout the EU.

Country-Specific Rates Highlight Disparities

Germany continued to showcase one of the lowest unemployment rates at 3.5%, whereas Spain and Greece remained on the higher end with rates around 10.9% and 9.0%, respectively. Notably, youth unemployment in the eurozone experienced a marginal decline to 14.2% from 14.3% in February.
