Turkey's Inflation Rate Dips Slightly in April: A Closer Look at the Numbers

Turkey's annual inflation rate experienced a slight decrease to 37.86% in April, down from 38.1% in March, as reported by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Monday.

Sector-Specific Increases

Education and housing led the way with the highest annual price increases, at 79.20% and 74.07%, respectively. In contrast, clothing and footwear saw the smallest rise, with prices increasing by 16.92% year-over-year.

Monthly Price Changes

Consumer prices rose by 3% in April on a monthly basis, with clothing and footwear prices climbing notably by 6.5%.
