US Initial Jobless Claims See Slight Increase

Four-Week Moving Average Declines
Amidst the slight rise in claims, the four-week moving average showed a decrease of 3,500 from the previous week's unrevised average, settling at 221,000. This indicates a potentially stabilizing trend in the labor market.
Unemployment Rate Holds Steady
The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate remained constant at 1.3% for the week ending July 19. Similarly, the insured unemployed figure stood unchanged at 1,946,000, with the four-week moving average slightly decreasing by 2,250 to 1,949,250.
