
China's Consumer Prices Hold Steady in July
China's consumer price index (CPI) remained unchanged in July compared to the previous year, marking a slight deviation from market expectations and a notable shift from the 0.1% increase observed in June, as reported by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) this Friday.
Monthly Uptick in Consumer Prices
On a monthly basis, there was a 0.4% rise in consumer prices during July, a positive rebound following a 0.1% decrease in the preceding month of June.
Producer Prices Continue to Decline
In parallel, the NBS highlighted that the producer price index (PPI) experienced a year-over-year drop of 3.6%, maintaining the same rate of decline as seen in the previous month.
