In a surprising turn of events, South Korea's unemployment rate fell to 2.4% in July, marking a 0.1% decrease from the previous year, as reported by Statistics Korea. This figure not only surpassed expectations but also showed improvement from June's rate of 2.6%.
Employment Numbers on the Rise
The report highlighted a notable increase in employment, with 171,000 more people finding jobs, bringing the total number of employed individuals to 29.03 million. This represents a 0.6% growth compared to the same period last year.
Improving Employment-to-Population Ratio
